Withdrawal Policy

Authors are strongly encouraged to ensure that manuscripts submitted to the Davao Research Journal (DRJ) are ready for peer review and intended for publication consideration. Since the review process involves significant time, expertise, and voluntary effort from editors and peer reviewers, authors are expected to complete the editorial and peer-review process once a manuscript has been submitted.

However, authors may request the withdrawal of their manuscript at any stage before publication by formally notifying the Editor-in-Chief through a written withdrawal request. The request should clearly state the reason(s) for withdrawal and must be signed or confirmed by the corresponding author on behalf of all co-authors.

Manuscripts that are withdrawn after substantial editorial processing or peer review may be subject to additional editorial evaluation to ensure that ethical publishing practices are upheld. Withdrawal requests associated with duplicate submission, simultaneous submission to another journal, or other forms of publication misconduct may be handled in accordance with the journal’s publication ethics and malpractice policies.

Once an article has been formally accepted or published, withdrawal or removal will only be considered under exceptional circumstances and in accordance with recognized publishing ethics guidelines and editorial policies.
