Self Archiving

The Davao Research Journal (DRJ) supports the principles of open access and encourages the responsible dissemination and preservation of scholarly works through self-archiving practices. Authors are permitted to deposit, share, and archive versions of their manuscripts in institutional repositories, subject repositories, personal websites, academic social networking platforms, and other non-commercial open-access repositories to maximize the visibility, accessibility, and impact of their research.

Authors may archive the following versions of their manuscripts:

Preprint Version – the original manuscript submitted to the journal before peer review;

Accepted Manuscript (Postprint) – the peer-reviewed and revised version accepted for publication before journal formatting and typesetting; and

Published Version – the final published article as it appears on the journal website.

The journal encourages authors to provide complete bibliographic information and, whenever possible, include the official DOI or direct link to the published article on the journal website to ensure accurate citation, proper attribution, and wider dissemination of the final version of record.

Self-archived materials must clearly acknowledge the Davao Research Journal as the original source of publication. Authors are likewise encouraged to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record by ensuring that archived versions accurately reflect the published work and do not misrepresent the editorial or peer-review process.
